Many of you will know what RSS is, but that’s because you spend too much time in front of the computer and not enough time on the mat – I can see our team here looking sheepish.
Anyway, this is where we explain the ways to stay up-to-date with JapaneseJujitsu.org so you’ll be notified whenever there’s a new post!
Here’s an example…
Billy reads about 10 different blogs on cars, cooking, and of course Jujitsu. Every day he logs on to the internet and checks all of these websites to see if there’s anything new he hasn’t read yet.
Every day some of the websites have published something new, but he’s still got to visit every one to find out.
Now wouldn’t it be fantastic if there was something that checked all these websites automatically for him, and notified Billy whenever a new article was published?
Well there is, and it’s called an RSS Reader!
Very simply, RSS readers are applications that allows you to get the latest posts from your favourite websites delivered straight to you. An RSS reader brings together all your websites into one place, so instead of running around the web everyday, you get all the news straight to your RSS reader of choice.
So where can you find an RSS Reader?
Most RSS readers are FREE – the one we use most at JapaneseJujitsu.org is Google Reader but there are tons of choices. Ask around and see what your friends use.
How can I subscribe to a website?
Whenever you see the word RSS or see an icon that looks like these then you should be able to click through and copy the feed address, or add it straight to your RSS reader.
